ADVERTISEMENTS
A novel in search of a publisher: 'Begetting - Loss - Recovery', or BLR for short, is a psychological thriller. The story, told in three parts corresponding to those in the title, deals with a fear that taps deep into the veins of our society. In the first part the narrator, Bill, reflects on his relationship with Susan, and the circumstances which led them to have a child, Belinda. Part two begins with the inexplicable loss of Belinda, and takes place over seven tense days. Bill describes his fluctuating mental processes and his impotent practical responses to the crisis. Part three, which is narrated in the present tense, builds to an exciting climax.
